EPICA, REVAMP Singers Interviewed In Sheffield (Audio)
March 26, 2011Mick Burgess of Metal Express Radio conducted an interview with EPICA frontwoman Simone Simons and REVAMP/ex-AFTER FOREVER singer Flooor Jansen on March 12, 2011 when EPICA and REVAMP performed in Sheffield, U.K. on their joint U.K. tour.
EPICA keyboardist Coen Janssen and his wife, Linda, welcomed their first child, a baby daughter named Cato Dianne, on January 28.
KAMELOT keyboardist Oliver Palotai — the longtime boyfriend of EPICA singer Simone Simons — filled in for Janssen during EPICA South American tour and the group's appearance at the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise.
"This Is The Time", the new single from EPICA, was released digitally on October 15, 2010. A video for the song, which was written for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF),was filmed in March 2010 was in Hilversum, The Netherlands.
EPICA's latest album, "Design Your Universe", landed at position No. 12 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
REVAMP is the new band led by former AFTER FOREVER vocalist Floor Jansen. The group's self-titled debut album was released in Europe on May 28, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records.
After the breakup of AFTER FOREVER, singer Floor Jansen decided she wanted to start over and present a new band to the public as soon as possible. To accomplish this, she joined forces with two additional songwriters to first compose, then record an album. A live band formed soon after the CD's completion, which got her back on stage where she belongs.
